When the #MeToo hashtag was introduced through social media in October 2017, it was impossible to realize the viral impact it would have. Suddenly, victims of sexual harassment and assault had a platform from which to drive awareness of the situation’s widespread prevalence. Now, two years later, what have been the consequences of the #MeToo Movement – intended and unintended – especially as they relate to women in the workplace? American Public Square will take up this issue from multiple perspectives with a panel discussion on Wednesday, September 25th. Join us!

Sarah Beaulieu from Boston who is affiliated with the Women’s Media Center and has authored the forthcoming book, Breaking the Silence Habit: A Practical Guide to Uncomfortable Conversations in the MeToo Workplace.

Kim Jones who is an employment trial attorney and managing partner of the law firm Seyfreth Blumenthal & Harris, who represents corporations and not-for-profit organizations.

Andrea Baran, the regional attorney for the EEOC. She has received honors for her work on sexual discrimination and racial discrimination cases.

Marvin Motley is a former HR and supply chain management executive with Sprint who is currently a mediator in the Kansas City area.
