American Public Square and Church of the Resurrection present a timely, plain-spoken conversation about staying connected when our beliefs collide. Rev. Adam Hamilton moderates a candid dialogue with a couple with different beliefs who have grown together—psychotherapist and author Dr. Jeanne Safer and her husband, historian and writer Richard Brookhiser. Drawing from Safer’s book “I Love You, But I Hate Your Politics,” the program looks beyond romantic partnerships to the full spectrum of relationships: family, friends, coworkers, and community. Together, they’ll explore how to stay curious instead of combative, how to navigate political disagreements without detonating trust, and what it takes to preserve the relationships we can’t afford to lose.
Parking and entrance are on the Southside of Building C (enter from Roe Avenue).
