Pints & Politics: Vice-Presidential Debate Watch Party
The one and only Vice-Presidential debate between Virginia Senator Tim Kaine and Indiana Governor Mike Pence will take place on October 4 at Longwood University in Virginia. Following the first presidential debate featuring Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, which has been said to be the most-watched debate in American history, we cannot disregard the importance of who is elected as second-in-command. Either Kaine or Pence will assume the office and responsibilities of commander-in-chief if Clinton or Trump-as President- can no longer serve this role. Let’s gather to hear more about the candidates’ qualifications and positions on various issues.
No matter which candidate you are rooting for, we hope you will join American Public Square at Charlie Hooper’s Bar & Grille in Brookside for another night of politics, food, drinks and debate games! In addition, the League of Women Voters of the U.S. will join us to help get people registered to vote.
There is no registry or cost for this event but we ask you to RSVP on Facebook as “attending”.
Please plan to arrive early to snag a seat! Drinks and food available for purchase.
Debate is scheduled for 8pm – 9:30pm CT.
